Imbolc is one of 4 main celebrations according to the celtic wheel of the year, along with Bealtaine (May 1-2,) Lughnasadh (August 1-2,) and Samhain (October 31-November 2.) These main holidays are anchored with the cross-quarter holidays of Ostara (March 19-22,) Litha (June 19-22,) Mabon (September 19-22,) and Yule (December 19-22.)
Each festival is in honor of an important aspect of the season, and for Imbolc that is the coming of spring. A time of purification, this is believed to be where we get the term “spring cleaning,” as it is customary to clear out and open up for a fresh start to the season.
Whether you are in or out of the Broom Closet, this gathering is for you!
Be on the lookout for each of these holiday celebrations at the Temple of the Rebel Goddess!
